Kids of Overseas & Wounded National Guard

(Continuous contingent on qualifying factors)

“We empower military kids by funding sports, arts and other enrichment activities when their parents are deployed overseas with the National Guard or Reserves, or recovering from severe injuries sustained in a post-9/11 overseas mission.

Family Empowerment Scholarship

(A set amount allotted to recipients)

“The Family Empowerment Scholarship program helps parents individualize the educational plans for their children with certain special needs. The name honors Florida Senate President Andy Gardiner, who led the legislative effort to create the program, and his family. Gardiner and his wife Camille have championed the cause of children with unique abilities for many years. The Gardiners have two daughters and a son, Andrew, who has Down syndrome.”

CJMHSA Program

(Up to two months of tuition)

“Youth involved or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system, who also have a mental health or substance use disorder, can benefit from getting treatment and other support strategies. This can help them build on their protective factors and reduce their risk factors for delinquent behaviors. Navigating the treatment system and understanding and accessing community resources can be a daunting and overwhelming task. Our care navigator can help.”

Hernando Jazz Society Scholarship

(A set amount allotted to recipients - usually 1 years tuition)

“The Hernando Jazz Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, performing, and perpetuating all forms of jazz including swing and music from the Great American Songbook. Under its Scholarship and Music Assistance program each year gives away at least three awards to the private study of instrumental or voice lessons and / or assist in covering college courses.”
