His journey began at Berklee College of Music, where he honed his skills and earned a degree in Music Composition under the guidance of esteemed mentors, Jim Kelly and Brett Wilmott. It was there that his talent flourished, earning him accolades in the form of awards and scholarships for his exceptional compositions. Beyond his mastery of composition, Mr. George's versatility as a musician shone brightly as he performed with several successful local bands, mesmerizing audiences with his incredible skills. However, it was in teaching that Mr. George found his true calling. With over 30+ years dedicated to sharing his profound knowledge and expertise in music, he became a treasured mentor and instructor to aspiring musicians. His legacy will forever be cherished at Adventures in Music as we remember Mr. George Westbay as an inspiring teacher, a brilliant composer, and an extraordinary human being.
